Born in 1958 in Jaroměř. He studied sociology and political economy at the Faculty of Economics, UK. He devoted himself to empirical sociological research, he made a substantial contribution to the beginnings of basic media research in the Czech Republic. He was director of marketing at Ringier and Economia publishing houses and director of e-Media. He coordinated the research methodology in the Union of Daily Press Publishers. From 2003 to 2015, he was the Executive Director of the STEM company, where, in addition to operational management, he was the author and co-author of most research projects.
